Do You Understand the Difference Between Intuition, Imagination, and Instinct?

Friday, March 13th, 2009

I’ve found people can sometimes confuse intuition with imagination or instinct. This article was written to clear up any confusion you might have about the differences between these important concepts. Let’s start with instinct.

Your instincts are your inherent genetic survival drives. Every creature, large or small, that has a nervous system has instincts, as they are basic to the survival of any living creature. They do not require any intelligence, and they don’t involve any kind of inspired guidance from your Higher Self. Instincts are nothing more than the basic drives wired into your physiology.

Imagination, on the other hand, is something much more sublime and interesting. It is a powerful creative force driven by your conscious and subconscious mind in response to your desires and intentions. Your imagination has the ability to craft visions towards the manifestation of your reality. While driven by your physical mind, your imagination uses many of the same inner senses as your intuition does to evoke into being new worlds and possibilities. Your imagination is an incredible tool directed by your will in the conscious creation process.

Through the portal of your imagination, inspiration can also flow and bring forth creativity. In other words, imagination and inspiration can serve as both the pathway to, and facilitators of, your intuition. When you visualize a place within your mind, your imagination creates an ideal internal space from which you can connect to and communicate with your intuitive self, receiving insights and information from your subconscious mind and from your Higher Self.

This means that your imagination is a valuable aid and passageway as you travel the path of intuitive development. The environments and situations you invoke in your imagination serve as a backdrop and foundation for your intuitive practices. To take just one example, when you practice guided visualization, your imagination sets the scene and summons from the void an appropriate setting from which you can open yourself higher, more intuitive states of mind that are only accessible through your inner intuitive senses.

Working with your imagination to access your ‘inner realm’ is something that is explored in detail in the Intuition Zone program. If you are ready to commence your journey, please take the first step and visit http://IntuitionZone.info

Why You Should Ask for Guidance from Your Intuitive Self

Monday, March 9th, 2009

Asking questions is unquestionably one of the most powerful ways to request and receive intuitive guidance. Asking questions of your Higher Self, your unconscious mind, deities, or whatever powers you believe in, will sharpen and hone your intentions to accept guidance and open the door to receive it.

Whenever you sincerely ask for help or guidance, you are signaling that you truly desire that help or guidance, and that you are willing and anxious to receive it into your heart and mind. Asking for the specific form of help you desire sends a clearer, stronger signal, making a clear answer easier to receive and increasing your sensitivity to the answer in whatever form it may take, whether direct internal messages, or signs and whispers that manifest themselves in your outer world.

You are likely already asking questions internally in your day-to-day life, though probably not in the conscious, directed fashion that brings answers. Do half-conscious questions and requests like these run through your mind, “I wish I knew just what to do here”, or “Is this job really right for me?”, “I really want some help with this!”, and so on. When thoughts like these run through your mind, whether you realize it or not, you are seeking for guidance from your intuition and perhaps receiving answers, yet are not really in a receptive state, making you numb and blind to the Replies you do receive.

Learning appropriate practices and settings with which to apply your questions and receive responses can affect your results in a profound way. Likewise, learning the best nature and form for your questions and queries is key, meaning that refining and empowering such will greatly enhance your intuitive potential. The more conscious you are of the nature and form of the questions you ask, the more you invite greater focus and clarity, both to your current standing and perspectives, and to your openness to accept the guidance you invoke when you ask them.

The Intuition Zone program teaches you powerful ways to ask your questions when you seek this kind of inspired guidance, with specific guidelines, including frames of reference, settings for Yes-No questions, open ended questions, what to avoid, and more, with specific examples. How to Open an Intuition Zone to Become Receptive

Saturday, March 7th, 2009

Your intuition is about being open and receptive, dwelling in a sensitive mode where you will best be able to receive impressions and insights, however subtle or vivid. It is a place of humility, ‘listening’ and non-judgment. Remember always that your intuition functions best when you are outside of your conscious analytical mind, and is the other side of the coin to logic and reason.

The guided meditations of the Intuition Zone program induce alpha and theta states that can give you a glimpse of that which lies beyond this world and allow you to achieve higher states of consciousness. That place beyond and those higher states are the areas where your intuition best functions.

Where any meditative or relaxation procedure can quiet and still the conscious mind and help you to move beyond it, the guided meditations in the Intuition Zone program are specifically designed not only to alter your state of consciousness, but once there, to facilitate the engagement of your intuitive senses.

That said, you don’t always need to be in a meditative state to work with and apply your intuition, and there are a great many exercises in the Intuition Zone program that explore this. The ‘Earth-Light’ meditation recording is specifically designed to clear and align your energy system and connect you to source, so that you are more open and capable of receiving higher awareness. This meditation, with its purifying, centering, and consciousness raising effects, is an ideal primer to any intuitive practice, as well as to becoming a clear and receptive conduit.

You can most easily apprehend the messages of your intuitive senses when you are in an altered zone of awareness. We most often experience such altered states when doing automatic, ‘mindless,’ or repetitive tasks, such as having a shower, knitting, washing the dishes, or doing chores, and so on. When we are engaged in these kinds of activities our conscious minds are most likely to switch themselves off. This makes it so that higher inspiration and intuitive gestalts can slip into your consciousness without the convoluted trappings of your analytical mind.

The Intuition Zone program includes the soothing meditation called, ‘Inner Realm.’ This meditation connects you with the personification of your Higher Self and allows you to experience their pure unconditional love, absorbing this energy at a fundamental level. This divine union serves to dissolve the limiters and burdens that keep you from the truth of who you are, and the illusion of separation on which the ego thrives. When you experience the unconditional, divine love that your Higher Self has for you in every instant of existence, it will heal and blossom your heart so that you can experience more of the ultimate truth of reality – that only love is real.
