Easy Steps To Be Intuitive
Tuesday, July 26th, 2011If you’ve ever had a hunch about something, that was intuition. Intuition is just your mind using more than what you are consciously aware of. But can you trust your intuition? If so then how can it be improved?
Developing Intuition In Three Steps
1. Recognize it and encourage it.
2. Study it to make it more trustworthy.
3. You need to feed it facts that it can base hunches on.
A chess champion will admit that a computer can calculate chess positions many moves further ahead than he can. His experience allows him to combine analysis with a “sense” of which move is best. There may be areas in your own life that you just seem to be acting intuitively.
Of course, intuition is also a warning device. An example of looking at facts and situations, drawing a hunch occurred when a husband and wife took a trip. They felt that they shoudn’t get on that bus in Ecuador. Crowded busses are prime locations for pickpockets. A drunk man was bumping into people repeatedly. The didn’t consciously pay attention, but these things registered in their minds, warning them. They felt “something isn’t right here.” When they ignored their intuition, and were robbed.
Possibly you know of someone who has these feelings all the time, maybe you’ve experienced them. Looking for and recognizing a thing trains your mind to find more of it. The same process will happen if you watch for your intuition – you’ll start to see more of it.
Unfortunately, a strong hunch can be for irrelevant reasons too. It is sometimes difficult to trust and depend on your intuition even when people learn to recognize it and encourage it.
Examine Your Intuition
Start questioning your hunches. If we had asked why we felt bad about that bus, it may have occurred to us, “Oh yeah, crowded busses are a bad idea – we know that.” Study your strong feeling about that taxi, and you might say, “Oh, it’s just my fear of yellow taxis.” Get in the habit of paying attentionto and studying your intuitive feelings.
Where does your intuition work best? If you’re always right about your intuitive stock picks, give a little credence to them. On the other hand, if your hunches about people are usually wrong, don’t follow them. Just pay attention more, and you’ll be developing intuition about your intuition.
Give Your Intution Good Information
Your skill, knowledge and experience determine the potential effectiveness of your intuition. No weak chess player will never intuitively beat that computer, like Kasparov can. Learn enough about a subject, before expecting good hunches about it – or before trusting the hunches. Work in the area you want more intuition in. When enough information is in your mind, it will go to work for you with or without your conscious participation, so feed it well.
Recognize your intuition and you’ll have hunches and ideas more often. Give it good information and you’ll be repaid with good hunches and ideas.

The Power Of Intuition
Saturday, March 20th, 2010You know that saying, “Trust your guts”? That refers to one of our senses that most of us don’t even know we have. It’s called intuition. And today I am going to share with you how to develop intuition for greater health, wealth and happiness.
So what is intuition exactly?
According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, intuition is defined as:
a) Quick and ready insight;
b) immediate apprehension or cognition;
c) knowledge or conviction gained by intuition; or
d) the power or faculty of attaining to direct knowledge or cognition without evident rational thought and inference
To most of us, intuition is that little voice in your head that sometimes tells you what to do when you are most confused. It is that feeling in your gut that sometimes tells you whether you should or should not trust that person that you just met. It is a natural gift that we are born with, along with our five senses of touch, taste, sight, sound and smell.
Only who is familair with intuition is able to recognize that perception and follow it consciously. It is something we can feeling, but sometimes barley listening to as it comes from a remote side of our inner thoughts.
Benefits of intuition
There are many benefits to honing your intuition skills. According to experts, building your intuition skills can help build your emotional, physical and spiritual health.
5 easy steps to boost your intuition skills
Many people don’t think they are intuitive. But it is actually fairly simple to develop your intuition. Here are five easy tips you can practice to develop your intuition skills:
1. Get In Touch With Your Feelings
Most of us are so out of touch and out of tune with how we truly feel inside that we walk around with a feeling of numbness. It’s either that or we are a bundle of nerves, created from stress at work or at home…
The worst is when we suppress our ‘gut feelings’ and ignore them. When was the last time your guts tried to tell you something and you ignored it? Did it come true? Did you smack your forehead and said “I KNEW IT!”
Trusting your gut feelings it’s something you should start doing from now onwards, if you want to boost your intuition.
2. Meditate
Meditation is definitely one of the best ways to help you build your intuition skills as it is generally used to clear the mind of clutter
Clutter can block your intuition from coming through and with meditation, you will not only have clearer and sharper thoughts, you will also see drastic improvements to the power of your mind as it not only opens up the senses, but it quiets the mind and increases your vibration, both necessary for increased intuition.
3. Listen To Your Body
Most of the time, our body reacts to our environment but because we have not sharpened our bodies’ intuitions abilities, we tend to ignore it as ‘just a feeling’.
Sometimes our bodies try to tell us if something is right or wrong, and most of the time, its right.
In fact, you usually perceive that you are experiencing an embarassing situation from the tension in your body. In the same way you always feel muscular relief when everything turns out fine!
4. Play Games With Your Mind
This is a great way to build your intuition skills, and its fun too! So the next time telephone rings, try to guess who it is. Monitor how well are you doing every time and if anytihing is changing. The more you practice, the more you are building your intuition muscles.
You can also create games yourself. Some of my favorites are guessing when the traffic light will turn green next and what color the next car that passes by my window is!
5. Believe in your first impressions.
When you see someone for the first time and think that he is a bit too arrogant for your taste, chances are that impression actually holds true. Most of the time, first impressions are brought by intuition, so even though your rational mind tells you that you are ‘being silly’, why not trust your intuition a little and ‘file’ that thought in your mind until it proves itself to be true.
Remember, anyone can develop their intuition. The most important thing with intuition is to get started in the right way. Keep in mind these 5 tools and you will get results sooner than you can even imagine!
